Below are photos for accessing the expansion valve and replacing the expansion valve seat. This is useful when the expansion valve seat develops a constant leak - most commonly seen in plumbed in machines with high line pressure. Before attempting this we recommend allowing the machine to fully cool off, unplugging it and removing it's water source. Tools required:
- 2.5mm allen wrench
- 1mm allen wrench
- flathead screwdriver
First, remove the panels from the machine - instructions here.
At this point you can reinstall expansion valve adjustment screw and set screw. Once installed verify that the expansion valve adjustment screw is properly tightened down by backflushing machine and checking for leaks. If machine is leaking out of exhaust port while backflushing, tighten down expansion valve until it no longer leaks during backflush.
